Forbes – 9/17/14: Retail trade is undergoing a massive shift. Personalization, localization and customization are all themes that mean that retailers who wish to remain competitive need to think about fundamentally changing the way they work. Apple’s retail footprint is perhaps the best known example of this shift – the idea of checking out a purchase on the retail floor rather than at a traditional counter is something that we’re starting to take for granted.
