USA Today – 3/23/15: Mobile payments service Square is opening up its Cash service to businesses, the start-up said Monday. Payments made through Square Cash are automatically deposited into a bank account, with a processing rate of 1.5%, says Square. The San Francisco company is also introducing Cashtags, an easier way for people to make direct payments to a business or individual for services. Users create personal tags (a name preceded by the “$” symbol) they share to receive payments, which can be made either through the Square app or website cash.me.
